"I won't let this build up inside of me..."

YES! Can I say YES! Slipknot and Anthrax are doing a tour, stopping in Milwaukee, and we're going! I was so bummed to see I missed their Chicago visit, so this is a nice opportunity.

And that has been my luck this summer - one good fortune after another. Let's see, we saw Monster Fucking Magnet in May - front row, baby!!! I even got to touch the bassist's guitar, and no, folks, that's NOT an inuendo. Yep, so front row to my favorite band - close enough to touch Dave. *sighs* I have pics to regale you with the awesomeness that is Dave Wyndorf.

A couple weeks later - People in Planes stopped in Chicago. I was front row for that concert too. I didn't get to touch any of the musicians, but hey, I'm not a handsy kind of gal. Well, I would be for Dave and any of his bandmates from Monster Magnet... and well, I would be for Slipknot and... well... aw, I'll leave it there.

When I thought my luck was dried up, after all luck isn't abundant, I found out about Slipknot and then, last night...

YAY!

Mastodon and Dethklok will be in Chicago in September!!!!

This shit couldn't get any better. Have I fallen asleep and awoken in metal-land mania? Who's next? Will Lacuna Coil come back? Mushroomhead? Disturbed? Or, or...

So, I say this with a big fat sigh, because last summer was the worst summer of my life - THIS SUMMER KICKS ASS! Way to make up for the devestation that was 2008, eh? Yeah, that's what I say, and I'm damn glad some fortune is shining on me.

Oh, and BTW, with all these metal concerts, I'm glad to note that my tattoo has recieved plenty of comments and admiration. Why? Well, because tattoos are a part of metal, like Kiera is a part of Jen from the Dark Crystal. I'm proud to say I've joined the ranks of covered folk who worship skin art and am not afraid to show it. Check out my most recent ink - a muse flowing out of a book surround by two foxes.
